Diffident Delusions of a Strange & Unusual Being

I need to name her.

An epithet or
a title.
Or something archetypal
of her kind.
A tag to be assigned.

I gave her a number—23.
Let the record reflect her assumed identity.
And devoid of her humanity.

She is a symbol of connection.
She is a canvas for projection.

I don’t know her.
I have no argument against her,
nor a credible objection.

And yet she has the power.
She has existed undefined,
unspecified. Anonymous.

I can’t erase her.
I can’t replace her.
I need to recognize her
and classify her
and face her.
